Kirsten Hunt (PhD)
So glad you’re here!
I am an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education at the College of Saint Benedict & St. John’s University where I teach courses in educational methods including literacy and social studies. I also specialize in children’ & young adult literature, check out the links in the kidlit tab to see some of my recent reviews! My role as an academic puts me directly in dialogue with current and upcoming research that informs my thinking and practice as an educator, professor, and consultant.
Prior to entering higher education and completing a doctoral degree, I taught for Minneapolis Public Schools for over ten years. This experiential knowledge informs my approach to assessment administration and tutoring so that the services I provide will transfer into the classroom.
